Client Project: Out With the Old, In With the New
Before Holly started...
In November 2023, our interior designer Holly Ambrose met with clients whose whole house was undergoing renovation. "The property was a complete building site," says Holly, "for example, we had to climb ladders to get to the top."
The construction plan did however ensure that the family could live in the house while it was ongoing, as certain areas were focused on first. Being a working couple, they lacked the time to trawl from store-to-store for inspiration and to source the pieces for their home. Our interior design service was the perfect solution - with everything from design plans to all of the furniture and accessories being sourced from under one roof.
From transforming the kitchen, dining room and living rooms to an open plan space; to injecting personality into the bedrooms and study - there was a lot to be done!

The transformation begins...
Holly worked on every element of the majority of their home - this included three bedrooms, snug room, open plan kitchen, living & dining and a study and selected the colour scheme, window treatments, upholstered, dining and bedroom furniture, lighting and accessories to create a bright and vibrant home that they could enjoy quality time with their friends and family.
"Holly demonstrated an exceptional understanding of our vision and style - even when we had no idea. Her ability to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal is truly impressive," said the clients, describing Holly's approach to providing creative solutions for the bedrooms, a study, a snug room, and a family room - focusing on maximising the space whilst retaining the clients' personality.

The clients were all praises for Holly's work, describing communication with her as 'seamless' and her attention to detail as 'unparalleled'. "She encouraged us to be brave with our colours and choices, even engaging our 12-year-old in designing her room, which made the process even more enjoyable. She was also incredibly diplomatic when my husband and I had different ideas!"

"At the end of the project, I visited the family again and asked them what their favourite room was," says Holly, stating that they all agreed that it was the open plan space. "They loved the new lifestyle it had given them - their family could all be together while one person was cooking, another doing homework and another relaxing in the lounge area," she explains.

Looking back...
With furniture and other homeware being sourced from Roomes as well, the clients even put in a word of praise for the delivery team and after sales support, commending them for ensuring that everything arrived on time and was set up perfectly.
"The end result exceeded our expectations," said the clients, "Our home feels fresh, inviting, and uniquely ours!"
